"I'm over it! You see I'm falling in a vast abyss... clouded by memories of the past; at last I see..."
There comes a time in everyone's life where change takes effect in a dramatic way. It might have begun off as a subtle butterfly flapping its wings, but now? It's a ravenous tornado tossing and crumbling the world you once knew. This was my beginning.
The music echoed in the distance from beneath him. The building contained many people tonight and the roof was neither shy. But in the far right corner staring down the skyline, a sunset of vivid colors, was Nex. A black tank top covered by a white button up shirt gifted his upper body and dark colored jeans with white stitching adorned his lower half. A chain hung from his right hip and his shoes were snow white; laces and all. The wind blew through his hair steadily. It's soft touch was so mesmerizing that he found himself running his fingers through his hair.
It was a glorious day even though his mind was clouded with many thoughts... One year ago, things were less complicated. Life was simple. The setting contrasted greatly to what he gazed upon now, but yet; it all felt the same. Same as if he had been here before.
A distant memory perhaps?
Or a far away dream?
In the end there wasn't much to ponder as the music seemed to grab a hold of him. Enjoying the sunset and fresh air at a club was good and all, but the night was only beginning. A female in a maid outfit tapped him on the shoulder. Nex simply tilted his head as his eyes turned as far as they good. She handed him a drink; tasted like blue raspberry something mixed with a bit of a twist. The taste was soothing and far from harsh to his tongue. She leaned upon the railing beside him, staring at the crowd moving about the roof. Together they were silent. What need be said to an old friend? After the song ended she walked away, disappearing back into the building.
