There are very few sacrifices she wouldn't make in their best interest and has offered a shoulder for them to lean on, on countless occasions in the past without ever expecting something in return. That being said, she isn't afraid to scold those she cares for if she knows they're in the wrong and can sometimes even prove to be a bit motherly. As for the sorts of people she prefers to keep in her company; she enjoys a bit of playful banter here and there, respects a good sense of humor and appreciates sincerity. A sense of independence or ambition is also a trait she finds admirable and will encourage in any one of her close companions. She does make a valiant effort to keep her professional and personal life separate though, and isn't nearly as nitpicky while out with friends as she is with her students. [/style]

She has acknowledged you can't please everyone after all - regardless of how much of an effort you might make - and is content with the knowledge that she doesn't go out of her way to upset or irk anyone. She's careful not to step on toes or say something that might be considered offensive. Being so careful with her words isn't always easy however, and an unintentional slip-up every so often is unavoidable. She does prefer to be told directly if she is unwanted however, and detests the spreading of rumors or petty gossip. People she will absolutely not tolerate include cheaters, liars, thieves and bullies. Those sorts of behaviors are completely unnecessary in her opinion and she finds them quite distasteful. Loud, obnoxious people also tend to repulse her and so she makes it a point to avoid them. [/style]

In a sad turn of events she was left standing at the altar and has never braved another relationship since then, still very much hurt by that sudden and unexpected betrayal. It's also part of the reason why she wanted to leave Ireland in the first place; hoping for a fresh start and some kind of distraction significant enough to help her forget about her heartbreak. This isn't to say she's not interested in involving herself with anyone again. It just needs to be the right time with the right individual. [/style]
